DailyCandy

Inc. Magazine today recognized DailyCandy as one of America's fastest growing private companies as part of its 25th Anniversary special-edition issue of the listing, due on newsstands September 1. DailyCandy, the ultimate insider's guide to what's hot, new, and undiscovered with more than 1.5 million subscriptions, made the notable cut not only for its 325.6% three-year growth, but also for its ability to provide advertisers with the targeted demographic reach they are looking for.

"At launch in 2000, DailyCandy's initial success was due to the underground word-of-mouth buzz received among urban women in New York City and Los Angeles; they trusted us to bring them the inside scoop first," said DailyCandy CEO Pete Sheinbaum. "Six years later, we are still true to our mission: giving our readers the latest and greatest first. It's that relationship with our audience that attracts our advertisers, thus contributing to our success."

Many noteworthy companies have already caught on to the power of DailyCandy, including American Express, Mercedes, Adidas, Kodak, Apple, Estee Lauder, Neutrogena, Bloomingdales, Evian, Banana Republic, and H&M. DailyCandy NEVER gets paid for its editorial content. Advertisements appear on its daily and weekly e-mail editions or as a "Dedicated E-mail" (a standalone advertorial delivered no more than once per edition per week).

Today, DailyCandy distributes 11 daily editions in key cities and nationally with more than 1.5 million subscriptions. As useful as it is entertaining, it's like getting an e-mail from your clever, unpredictable, and totally enlightened best friend -- the one who knows about secret beauty treatments, must-have jeans, and hot new restaurants -- who always shares the scoop.

DailyCandy's editorial mission focuses on six pillars of the sweet life: Arts & Culture, Beauty, Service, Fun, Fashion, and Food & Drink. Daily editions devoted to cities are published in New York; Los Angeles; Chicago; San Francisco; Boston; Dallas; Atlanta; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia; and London. Miami launches in September; the Everywhere edition is national (style knows no boundaries). Weekly editions include Kids (for busy and hip parents) published on Thursday, DailyCandy Deals (with exclusive, editor-selected sales and promotions) published on Tuesday, and every subscriber receives DailyCandy Travel (for jet-setters or dreamers). Earlier this year, DailyCandy published its first book, DailyCandy A to Z: an Insider's Guide to the Sweet Life, which applies the same useful, witty perspective to the little things that make life sweeter.
