James Maroney

has been launched recently for the benefit of college applicants. Speaking on the occasion of the launch Mr. James Maroney, owner of the company said that the site has been launched to help college applicants make a positive impact with their admission essay. The site has all the features to help students to prepare for college and University scholarships essays. The site has the option for students to submit an essay and find a college. Answering journalists question on what made him think of this website, Mr. Maroney said that his experience as an educational consultant led him to launch this website. He mentioned that the site will cover almost all details of application essays and scholarship essays. Mr. Maroney also spoke elaborately on the scholarship from AdmissionHook.com. The site has created a well developed methodology of giving scholarships. As a first step students have to submit their sample essays. If the essay is one among the top five vote getters the essay will be reviewed by a committee and stands a chance to win $1,000. They also hope to reward the loyalty of their students by providing a $500 scholarship to the student who votes on the most essays.
Mr. Maroney gave an elaborate presentation and a guided tour of the website. The site has a section which lists the latest 5 submissions and also the top 5 vote getters. Students who want to use the various features of the website will have to create a profile on the website before they can start using the various features. The site also has video tips which will help students to better understand the concepts of scholarship and admission essays. Mr. Maroney also answered journalists on the funding of the site and the revenue model.
He said that the funding for the website has been done in his personal capacity and also from close friends. He was categorical in explaining that the site is more focused on helping students than generating revenue. He expects revenue to start flowing in once the site becomes popular with the student community. He said that while interacting with students in his role as an educational consultant, the first complaint that many of them had was the lack of quality sample scholarship essays and personal statements which could be used as a baseline for the scholarship application. Mr. Maroney said that he and a colleague while discussing on this intricate subject decided to launch this website. The site will keep on building a database of admission essays which can be used by students free of cost.
At present Mr. Maroney does not want to charge any fee for sample essays. He said that his passion in launching the website is more than his focus on revenue. Going forward the site will incorporate many other features which he declined to elaborate. Mr. Maroney said that at present the site will only focus on the niche subject of admission and scholarship essays without focusing on any other areas of scholarships. However he may add useful scholarship resources in the future. He urged the journalists and students to visit the site and give their valuable feedback. Please visit For more information.
