McKool Smith, PC, one of the country's leading intellectual property and commercial litigation trial firms, is expanding its New York office with the addition of accomplished litigation attorney Gayle Rosenstein Klein.
Ms. Klein joins McKool Smith as a principal and brings broad experience representing companies and boards of directors in intellectual property disputes, complex business litigation and sensitive internal investigations.
Ms. Klein represents clients in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings across the country. She has worked on cutting-edge legal issues involving class actions, trade secrets in high-tech and commercial business settings, and false advertising relating to consumer products. In these matters, Ms. Klein has experience leading teams of professionals to meet both legal and business strategies under high-stress circumstances.
In addition to her crisis management expertise, Ms. Klein also has represented major healthcare providers and other large businesses in breach of contract proceedings, and ERISA and breach of fiduciary duty litigation. Companies and corporate audit committees have sought out Ms. Klein to lead their sensitive options investigations and advise company executives.
Ms. Klein graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law. She earned her bachelor's degree with high honors from the University of Texas. Prior to joining McKool Smith, Ms. Klein was a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. Her addition continues McKool Smith's major expansion of its New York offices, which opened last year.
"Our intellectual property and business litigation work is growing rapidly in New York, and the addition of Gayle will help us meet the demand," says firm co-founder Mike McKool. "Our success is in large part due to the quality of our attorneys, and Gayle certainly fits the mold as an extremely talented and accomplished lawyer."
McKool Smith has more than 95 attorneys in Dallas, Austin, Marshall, New York and Washington, D.C., handling commercial and intellectual property litigation for national and international clients. The firm is recognized as one of the premier litigation law firms in the United States, having earned significant courtroom victories for clients such as American Airlines, BearingPoint, Ericsson, Electronic Data Systems, Lockheed Martin, Medtronic Inc., and Sony Ericsson.
