San Francisco 49ers Fans Show Strong Support Early in Pre-Season

With the first pre-season game behind them, San Francisco 49ers fans are looking forward to a better record than last season’s and their support is evident by the large number of red and white jerseys in the stands. Even the fairest of fair weather 49ers fans were looking forward to seeing two of the newcomers, Alex Smith and Vernon Davis, in action. Their addition to the team has brought with them hope and high expectations for the rest of the 2006 season. The team is in a rebuilding phase, but many fans are still optimistic and encouraged. The 49ers faithful were easy to spot in their brand new, bright red, #85 Vernon Davis and #11 Alex Smith jerseys. Fans in red and white jerseys were also out in large numbers at the 49ers training camp, many of whom were sporting these new numbers.
