Statistics have revealed that almost every household in the United States of America has a Television set. A closer look at the graphs would indicate that the use of a television set in the conventional sense has been decreasing by almost 20% every year. All this points to just one thing – The increased use of web cast and streaming technologies has resulted in such data.
Gone are the days when you had to use your television as a television per se. With latest technologies on the anvil, you could use your computer as a Web TV. Now, who would have thought that a computer could be used as a Television? For more information, log on to the website that you visit often and you would definitely find a video clip. Click on that and you would be able to see the entire animated clip.
What makes it possible? I spoke to my friend who does broadcasting and web casting. He told me that most of the households now prefer the Web TV or the Satellite TV. I asked him “Why would people do that?” He told me that it was a matter of convenience and preference. I did not quite get convinced but when he took me through the process of broadcasting, I got convinced.
It was time for me to do a survey again. I wanted to know if the earlier statistics on Television held good. After all, my friend convinced me to an extent that I thought that Satellite and Web TV were two best things to have happened ever. When I started with my survey exercise, I was absolutely stunned when people told me that they wished to use their computers as Web TV.
My friend was absolutely right. Web TV does put people at ease as most of them use computers. This is not to say that Television sets are not easy to operate. But the fact that Web TV allowed people to see what they wanted as per their choice clicks the deal. In essence, I think this is one fact that has got Web TV to be so popular.
So, the next time when you go to your website that you visit frequently, watch out for a media image. Chances are that you will be able to play the image. If you do get to see the animated image then give some credit to the latest invention in streaming – Web TV.
