AT&T Expands Retail Presence in Upstate New York With New Pittsford Location

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced today that Cingular, now AT&T, has expanded its retail presence in the Rochester area with a new store location in Pittsford in the Inspirations Designs Building on 3122 Monroe Avenue.

"We are pleased to be able to enhance our service to the Rochester community with our new store in Pittsford. In addition to this new location, we have also made a significant investment to enhance and expand wireless coverage in the area," said Bruce Saunders, director of sales for AT&T's wireless operations in western New York. "In fact, AT&T added eight new cell sites in the Rochester area last year, providing enhanced cellular coverage for Monroe, Ontario and Orleans Counties.

Over the last two years, the company has invested more than $180 million in its upstate New York wireless network.

This new retail location will offer a full range of wireless products and services, including the most advanced handsets, technology and accessories such as:

Mobile Music. AT&T offers a wide array of music phones that allow customers to sideload their music from Yahoo!(R), Napster or iTunes. And, for a limited time, customers can get a free 12-month subscription to Napster when they purchase a Samsung SyncTM or BlackJack(TM) handset and subscribe to an unlimited MEdia Net package.

Customers can also listen to XM Satellite Radio on wireless phones, Bluetooth headphones and Bluetooth external speakers and also transfer personalized music content via laptop or mobile phone with phones like the SyncTM or the LG CU500.

Laptop Mobility, E-Mail and Data. Geared toward road warriors, on-the-go customers, and small business owners, part of the store will include wireless phones and PDAs -- the ultrasleek BlackBerry(R) 8800, Smartphones, GPS and Bluetooth accessories.

With the addition of the Pittsford store, AT&T now operates eight company-owned locations in the greater Rochester area. The new store, which will have six employees, will be led by store manager Matt Coulombe. The company is a proud member of the Pittsford Chamber of Commerce.

As part of the grand-opening celebrations from Friday, April 13, through Sunday, April 15, the public is invited to stop by for special grand-opening deals and product giveaways, a free second-generation Motorola RAZR after a mail-in-rebate and free activation on two-year contracts.
